To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra  Christo

Princess Lira is siren royalty and the most lethal of them all. With the hearts of seventeen princes in her collection, she is revered across the sea. Until a twist of fate forces her to kill one of her own. To punish her daughter, the Sea Queen transforms Lira into the one thing they loathe most - a human. Robbed of her song, Lira has until the winter solstice to deliver Prince Elian’s heart to the Sea Queen or remain a human forever.

The ocean is the only place Prince Elian calls home, even though he is heir to the most powerful kingdom in the world. Hunting sirens is more than an unsavory hobby - it’s his calling. When he rescues a drowning woman in the ocean, she’s more than what she appears. She promises to help him find the key to destroying all of sirenkind for good - But can he trust her? And just how many deals will Elian have to barter to eliminate mankind’s greatest enemy?

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now? Monique is not exactly on top of the world. Her husband has left her, and her professional life is going nowhere. Regardless of why Evelyn has selected her to write her biography, Monique is determined to use this opportunity to jumpstart her career.

Summoned to Evelyn's luxurious apartment, Monique listens in fascination as the actress tells her story. From making her way to Los Angeles in the 1950s to her decision to leave show business in the '80s, and, of course, the seven husbands along the way, Evelyn unspools a tale of ruthless ambition, unexpected friendship, and a great forbidden love. Monique begins to feel a very real connection to the legendary star, but as Evelyn's story near its conclusion, it becomes clear that her life intersects with Monique's own in tragic and irreversible ways.

The Humans by Matt Haig

Our hero, Professor Andrew Martin, is dead before the book even begins. As it turns out, though, he wasn’t a very nice man - as the alien imposter who now occupies his body discovers. Sent to Earth to destroy evidence that Andrew had solved a major mathematical problem, the alien soon finds himself learning more about the professor, his family, and “the humans” than he ever expected. When he begins to fall for his own wife and son - who have no idea he’s not the real Andrew - the alien must choose between completing his mission and returning home or finding a new home right here on Earth.

Hi guys! It's Ana and today I bring my October wrap up.
In October I finish two books. I read Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston for the challenge a booktuber or book blogger favorite book and Josh and Hazel's Guide to not Dating by Christina Lauren for the challenge a book out of my comfort zone and I start Uprooted by Naomi Novik for the challenge an "older" book.

Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston ⭐⭐⭐⭐

When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius - his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex - Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through?

Red, White and Royal Blue is one of the most hyped book of 2019 and it's amazing!
Alex and Harry are the most cute couple in the world and one of my favorite couple ever! Alex is funny, smart and sarcastic. Harry is also smart and funny and I their sense of humor.
Beside Alex and Harry I love June, Nora and they have the most beautiful, cute and funny friendship.
My favorite moments were when Harry and Alex were together, read the emails and when Alex, Nora and June were together (#friendshipgoal).
I love that the author didn't only focus on the romance but also in the political part of the story.
The writing is simple and realistic.
Overall I love this book and I want to read other books by this author.

Josh and Hazel's Guide to not Dating by Christina Lauren ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take - and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met - when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes - to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them... right?

Hazel is  funny, smart, strong, eccentric, out going and I love that she didn't change who she was for a man. Josh is funny, charming, smart, sarcastic and the perfect boyfriend and best friend and I love that he didn't want to change her. I also adore Dave and Emily.
My favorite parts were when she was flirting with him and the double dates were the most funny parts of the book.
I really like the story and the romance was adorable.
I also really like the writing style and I would never guess it's by two different authors.
Overall I adore the characters and the romance and I want to read more of their books.
I recommend this book if you like cute romance and amazing characters.
